Valentine’s Day Self Care Circuit Training

We have officially made it through the first month of 2022! 

Now, we must get “mentally prepared” for the season of “love, candy & flowers”. 💛🍭💐

Of course, I’m talking about that special 2/14 day that we all look forward to every year❣️

This year I think it is really important that, we find some “unique ways” to celebrate. We need to show our families the beauty of “self love” by implementing some “self care” tactics…

Instead of just doing the normal “costly & traditional” options… 
How about using this as an opportunity, to come up with some creative ideas?

Idea One: “Self Care Circuit Training”  
For example, you can have a pedicure area, face mask area & a healthy snacks area set up in your living room (or kitchen). Use a timer to help make this fun and game like. Each person can use the “designated area” for 10 minutes (before it’s time to switch).  
This is a wonderful way to pamper ourselves, while still celebrating & having fun in the process.

Idea Two: “What I love about you?”
Each person tells everyone (playing) what they love about that person.

This is a game I started playing with my family, years ago. Even though you might get some resistance… The kiddos will surprise you at how “loving & mushy”, they can inadvertently be. 

This also helps to remind everyone that we do love each other. Sometimes we forget, because of the conflict that naturally arises “day to day”. This also reinforces “self care” because, “love“ is at the core of all “care”.

Idea Three: “Homemade Pizza 🍕 Night”
This is an “oldie but goodie” that never goes out of style. Grab some pizza dough, marinara sauce & your favorite healthy toppings. Turn on some music and gather everyone in the kitchen, to make some yummy memories.  This is great for the soul & heart healthy simultaneously!

I hope these simple suggestions, help you get your “creative juices” flowing. While, taking the time to care for “you” & the ones you hold close to your heart.

Please enjoy this Valentine’s Day, by reminding yourself that self care is a must (and keeping it simple is the key)!
