Spring Traditions
Easter is such a fun springtime tradition. I love how spring feels so hopeful. The warmer weather is really nice and the budding flowers are such a nice promise of what’s to come. Whether you celebrate Easter for religious reasons or for the cute bunny and goodies, it’s always fun to put together an Easter basket for the kids.
I really believe all celebrations and traditions are important to kids, no matter what they are or how you celebrate them. I remember every year as a kid, collecting eggs and pulling out random stuff from my own Easter basket (cue the bunny glasses and jump ropes). No matter what was in the basket, the celebration is what I really loved. It was fun family together time I could count on happening each spring.
Everyone needs something to look forward to. Holidays and traditions are the perfect excuse to seize the day and celebrate! Every year I fall more in love with Easter for the hopeful pastels and adorable woodland creature decorations. It is such a sweet and beautiful time of year. Not to mention the yummy fragrances wafting outside from all the blooming flowers.
Easter Books
I always try to get creative with Easter baskets. Just like during Christmas, the kids get so much candy from other places… school parties, egg hunts, my own weaknesses at the grocery store, etc. I try to minimize adding edible sweets to their baskets. My first go-to is always books!
With so much inspiration this time of year, we have three new books that are perfect for Easter baskets.
Easter Activities
My next choice is always a busy activity to include in the Easter basket. Spring is full of so many events we are rushing to here and there. It’s nice to have a couple quick on-the-go activities to throw in the car.
Easter Games
This year I am really trying to work on more together time. It’s been a crazy couple of years for the whole world. We need some fun! Here are some exciting games to throw in the Easter basket.
Random Fun Easter Items
In true form, Easter baskets are great for giving random fun gifts.
Easter Baskets
Of course, no basket is complete without… a basket! I found these fun reusable options… cuddly, classic, or wipeable! Maybe they can double as shelf organizers in their rooms (wishful thinking)!
I hope this makes your Easter basket creating easy and fun. Then you will have more time for just being together. Enjoy the spring season and comment below with your favorite things about this hopeful season… and your other ideas for Easter baskets.
