Self Care Tips for Moms
This Mother’s Day, I can feel the stress surmounting more than years past. ALL moms could use more time for self care… and more gifts for book lovers, of course! Perhaps it is a sign of the economic times, up and down pandemic era, or the end of the school year fast approaching. Whatever the reason, I just want to relax on Mother’s Day and curl up with a good book.
Here are 5 quick self care ideas for busy moms like me. This weekend especially, remember to take time for you!
- Think How You Want to Celebrate – For me, this is doing very little and eating good food. I firmly believe Mom’s should choose how they want to spend Mother’s Day.
- Plan for Quiet Time – This is the perfect excuse for some YOU time… spend some time alone in the bath or in a quiet corner with a book.
- Relax Your Body – Listen to your aching bones and give yourself time to just be still. Take a nap, do easy stretches, ask someone for a foot rub.
- Replenish Your Soul – Do something that fills up your heart and makes you feel happy. For me, this means being creative with crafts and paint, or laughing with my family.
- Feed Your Mind – There’s nothing better for a confidence boost than learning something new or changing your perspective! Learn a new skill or listen to a new book!
For more self care, choose from this menu the things that speak to you most. Remember, MOMS, this weekend is all about you and what you need, TAKE IT!
